I lost a friend tonight.
I guess his girlfriend used his phone while he was asleep
to instruct me to never talk to him again.
I didn't argue with her.
What could I say?
It's not my place to come between him and her.
So I agreed to her terms,
put down my phone,
and burst into tears.
